Assistant Manager, Business Application and Solution
Hong Kong | Full Time

  • Assist the BAS Manager with the system ownership of the developed business solutions, including PURECast, App and web application, PURE360 platform etc.
  • Monitor the project progress ensuring the responsible projects to be deployed under the annual work plan within approved project investment budget
  • Manage and monitor projects to support solution development, such as group or local solution and system integration applicable to operation in different countries/cities
  • Assist to collaborate with peers and stakeholders to align roadmaps for business processes
  • Assist to manage to develop functional requirement specifications for new systems or changes of existing systems for solution development team
  • Coordinate to perform system integration tests and user acceptance tests to ensure the systems/solutions are developed and functionally meet with the user’s requirements
  • Serve as the business solutions subject matter expert on business areas, project teams and vendors to apply and execute appropriate use of technology solutions and lead efforts to examine technology vision, opportunities, and challenges
  • Ensure changes to baseline requirements are effectively applied through the appropriate change control processes and tools. Maintain version control, configuration and defect management activities for all changes developed.
  • Facilitates project handoffs including preparing documentation, educating, and supporting to ensure smooth transitions. Support the system users of using the system in their daily operation
  • Govern and review the output of the service providers who are responsible for the actual hands-on delivery of services, managing outcomes and results. Develop and maintain vendor management process for solution development and support related ensuring the service provided in line with the service level agreement
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years working experience in IT or related.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in managing a team; Preferable with experience in Club/Retail industries with digital products.
  • Sets high standards of performance for self and/or others.
  • Assumes responsibility for work objectives; initiates, focuses, and monitors the efforts of self and/or others toward the accomplishment goals.
  • Proactively takes action and goes beyond what is required.

Technical Competencies

  • Experience in web and mobile application development as well as managing local and offshore development team/vendor
  • PMP and/or SCRUM/Agile certification is a plus
  • ITIL certification is a plus
  • Knowledge in smart retail/membership/CRM solution is a plus
  • Experience in China digital products (e.g. WeChat Work / Mini-program) is a plus
  • Experience in various cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, AlibabaCloud)
  • Digital savvy. Passionate about the latest technologies, machine learning, data privacy and security
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting and good teamwork.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is preferable.
